Warner Bros. is reportedly “in the early stages” in delivering a reboot for the sci-fi classic, The Matrix. And it looks like the reboot will be taking on a complete new cast as well as director and producer. Michael B. Jordan is reported to replace Keanu Reeves as the protagonist Neo, and Zak Penn who worked on X-Men: The Last Stand has been approached to write movie.
The Matrix is one of most successful sci-fi films ever made despite the second and third movie in the trilogy being heavily criticised. With the Wachowski’s who directed the original trilogy likely to not be involved in the reboot, we’ll have to wait and see if the it can carry the same success.
